Privacy Policy

(DARK MACHINE THE GAME Official Website — Worldwide)

Effective Date:

METAX-FZCO ("METAX", "we", "us", or "our") operates the official website for DARK MACHINE THE GAME (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Site, how we use it, and the choices and rights you may have. This Policy applies only to the Site (teaser stage) and not to any game software, mobile apps, or services on other platforms.

By using the Site, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
For the EEA/UK, METAX is the data controller. Under Japan's APPI, METAX is the personal information handling business operator for this Site.

  1. 1. Information We Collect

At this teaser stage, the Site does not include registration forms, contact forms, surveys, or newsletter sign-ups. We collect only limited information automatically when you access the Site, such as:

    • Device and usage data (e.g., IP address, device and browser type, language settings, OS, pages viewed, referring/exit pages, timestamps); and
    • Cookies and similar technologies used to enable essential functions only.

We do not intentionally collect information that directly identifies you (e.g., your name or email address) via the Site at this time. If we add forms in the future, we will disclose the items collected and purposes at that time.

  2. 2. Cookies & Analytics

At launch, the Site does not use analytics cookies or Google Analytics. We may introduce analytics in the future in compliance with applicable laws (e.g., by obtaining consent where required). If we do so, we will update this Policy.

  3. 3. How We Use the Information

We use the limited information described above to:

    • operate, maintain, and secure the Site;
    • analyze service reliability and fix issues; and
    • prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
  4. 4. Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your information. We may disclose limited information:

    • to service providers (e.g., hosting, security) under appropriate contracts who process data on our behalf;
    • for legal or safety reasons (to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect rights, users, or the public); or
    • with your consent, if ever applicable.
  5. 5. Data Retention

We retain Site-related data only as long as necessary for the purposes above.
At launch, because we do not use analytics cookies or Google Analytics, retention is limited to non-analytics data processed for operation and security (e.g., server logs), which we delete or aggregate when no longer needed.

  6. 6. International Transfers

We are located in Japan, and our service providers may process information in other countries (e.g., the United States). These countries may have data-protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, we take appropriate measures to protect such transfers (for example, relying on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses).

  7. 7. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

  8. 8. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your information; to object to certain processing; and to withdraw consent (where consent is the legal basis). To exercise your rights, please contact us (see "Contact" below).
If and when we introduce non-essential cookies or consent tools in the future, you may manage your preferences via those tools in addition to your browser settings.

  9. 9. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

  10. 10. Third-Party Links

The Site may include links to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, and we are not responsible for them.

  11. 11. Do Not Track

Because there is no common industry standard for "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals, the Site does not respond to DNT at this time.

  12. 12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Policy on the Site and indicate the Effective Date above.
